Guide to Appendix H Funding: Living with Family and Friends in SDA

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) continues to evolve, with updates designed to provide participants with greater choice, control, and flexibility over their living arrangements. One of the most significant updates introduced in the 2023–24 NDIS Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) Pricing Arrangements is Appendix H.
This legislative change recognises that many NDIS participants want to live with non-NDIS, family members, partners, or close friends. Appendix H ensures this is now possible within the SDA funding framework.
